About the Manistee Justice Court

Judge Donald Watts was elected Manistee Justice of the Peace in November 2014. Prior to being elected Justice of the Peace, Judge Watts worked in Law Enforcement. He retired from the Peoria Police Department in 2013 after over 20 years of service. Judge Watts also served at Luke Air Force Base in the United States Air Force Reserve and Arizona Air National Guard as a Law Enforcement Specialist.
Judge Watts has called the valley home for over 33 years and is proud to continue his service to the residents of Glendale, Peoria, and Phoenix.

Serving the Residents of Glendale, Peoria and Phoenix, the Manistee Justice Court handles many cases to help expedite the Judicial needs of the residents of Peoria, Glendale and Phoenix.
Judge Donald Watts hears cases including, but not limited to: civil lawsuits, criminal misdemeanors, assaults, DUI’s, eviction action and Protection Orders.
Justices of the Peace routinely conduct civil and criminal bench trials and the occasional jury trial. The Manistee Justice Court receives over 13,000 civil and criminal filings per year, being one of the busiest Justice Courts in Maricopa County. The court receives approximately $1.4 million in fines and fees annually.
The Manistee Justice Court is located at 14264 W. Tierra Buena Lane, Surprise, AZ in the Northwest Regional Courthouse along with three other Maricopa County Justice Courts.
